All our PADI Diving Courses

We offer a range of courses including Bubblemaker, Try Dives or DSDs, Refreshers for those needing to brush up on their skills, entry level PADI Scuba diver, PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced open Water, PADI Rescue Diver, EFR and Divemaster as well as Adventure Dives covering individual more specialised areas. We never have more than 4 students on one course and often less.

Strictly speaking, Bubblemaker and Discover Scuba Diving Experience (DSD or Try Dives) are not courses as, whilst your instructor will teach some basic skills, there is no certification at the end. Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) also referred to as Try Dive can count towards the Padi Scuba diver course or PADI Open Water Course, if you discuss this and we are aware at time of booking.

DSD and Bubblemaker


Details

Minimum age: DSD 10 yrs, BM 8 yrs - 1 day, 2 dives from our boat - Price $95 USD

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience or DSD is an introduction to the exciting underwater world of scuba diving with an experienced dive professional in a safe environment. The PADI Bubblemaker is a subset of the DSD, in shallower water for our guests too young for a DSD.

Scuba Diver


PADI Scuba Diver Course

Minimum Age: 10 yrs (Junior) 15 yrs (Full) - Price $260 USD

Whereas the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience introduces you to a beautiful, new, exciting underwater world, after this course you will be a certified diver. You will be able to travel anywhere in the world and dive with a diving professional. The PADI Scuba Diver course includes:

• Dive Theory sections 1 - 3
• Practical confined water sessions 1 - 3
• 2 open water dives from our boat
• Duration 2 days
• Lunch and refreshments on the boat
• Full equipment rental, tuition materials certification fee.
Cost: $260 USD
You should be able to swim / float for 10 minutes to complete the course.

More Information

During the Padi Scuba Diver course you will learn about Being a diver, equipment, including preparation and care, dive skills and problem management. Your education will be a combination of theory sessions with the aid of videos and your own manual which is included. We aim to get you in the water from day 1 where you will re-enforce the theory with practical sessions under the guidance of one of our professional, certified, PADI instructors.

Open Water


PADI Open Water Course

Minimum Age: 10 yrs (Junior) 15 yrs (Full)

On completion of the PADI Open Water course you will be able to explore to deeper depths (up to 18m), opening up new challenges, adventures, dive sites and opportunities. You will be an accomplished diver able to dive independently, with a buddy but without supervision (in some resorts). One more step towards Advanced, Rescue or even becoming a diving professional.

The PADI Open Water course includes:

• Dive Theory sections 1 - 5
• Practical confined water sessions 1 - 5
• 4 open water dives from our boat
• Duration 4 days
• Lunch and refreshments on the boat
• Full equipment rental, certification fee.
Cost: $410 USD
You should be able to swim / float for 10 minutes and swim 200m (any style, no time limit), before certification

More Information

Whilst you can do Scuba Diver first, it is not mandatory. Instead of Scuba Diver why not take the plunge (pun intended) and go straight for Open Water certification. Only a couple more theory sessions and 2 more days diving. You will learn more skills enabling you to go deeper, teaching you how to navigate underwater and how to use a dive computer, making you a more experienced diver.

Adventure


Adventure Diver

Pre-requisite : Open Water (or Junior)

Price : $195 USD - 1 day, 3 dives

Certification as an Adventure Diver sits between Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water.

Includes three adventure dives and certification fee. As a Padi Adventure Diver you get your own card for life.

More Information

This certification counts towards the Advanced certification which is simply 2 more adventure dives (5 adventure dives in total). However to be certified as Advanced, 2 of your adventure dives must be Navigation and Deep and there is an additional certification fee for your Advanced card.

Advanced


PADI Advanced Open Water Course

Minimum Age: 12 yrs (Junior) 15 yrs (Full)

Prerequisite: Open Water Certification

Take the next step with this fun course that involves 5 adventure dives over 2 days. No final exam just some theory and 5 specialized dives. Extend your depth limits, even more possibilities such as wreck dives and night dives. Increase your experience and abilities with advanced navigation techniques and deep diving with training in other chosen specialized dives. Scroll for more info...




The PADI Advanced course includes:

• 5 Theory sessions
• 5 Adventure dives from our boat
• Duration 2 days
• Lunch and refreshments on the boat
• Full equipment rental, tuition materials and certification fee.
Cost: $350 USD

More Information

A fun course qualifying you to up to 30m deep. No final exam, just 5 fun adventure dives together with relevant theory reading from your own manual that we supply. Navigation and Deep adventure dives are mandatory but then choose 3 others that interest you. Night is always popular and so is Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB), others include Drift Dive, Boat Dive, Naturalist and Fish identification.

Emergency First Response (EFR)


The EFR (Emergency First Response) Course

No minimum age - Prerequisite: None - Price $130 USD

Earn certification and card as an Emergency First Responder.

More Information

This course is valuable for non-divers and divers alike, it is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue diver course. You will learn accident scene assessment, Injury and Illness assessment, bandaging and splinting. Then you will progress to CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), providing emergency oxygen and use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) as well as dealing with choking, shock and much more. If you combine the EFR course with the PADI Rescue Diver Course you will be eligible for a discount off the 2 courses.

Rescue


The Padi Rescue Diver Course

Minimum Age: 12 yrs (Junior) 15 yrs (Full) - Prerequisite: AOW (or Adventure diver including Night and Deep) and EFR

Take your experience and abilities to the next level and 1 step closer to becoming a professional Divemaster or Instructor. One of the most challenging, yet rewarding courses you will ever take.

• Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

• Rescuing panicked divers
• Rescuing unresponsive divers

Cost: $420 over 3 days

More Information

You will complete 5 knowledge development sessions, demonstrate self-rescue skills, perform 10 rescue exercises in open water plus, perform 2 realistic rescue scenarios searching for, locating and rescuing an unresponsive diver underwater and rescuing an unresponsive diver on the surface. The course is not just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

Divemaster


The Padi Divemaster Course

Minimum Age: 18 yrs

Prerequisite: Rescue + 40 logged dives

Cost: $1000 over 10 days +
You should be able to swim 800m to complete the course.There are several timed swim tests.

More Information

You will learn role model behaviour in assisting instructors with students, how to independently set up a dive site, run a dive boat and guide certified divers. You will learn to demonstrate all the skills you have accomplished in reaching this far to a high standard. You will be able to conduct briefings, prevent and deal with emergencies and handle dive logistics. You will also learn mapping skills and prepare you own map of a dive site. Your understanding of dive and decompression theory and navigation techniques will be to an extremely high standard.
